Quitting smoking is not child’s play - acknowledging this fact is the first thing that can get you close enough to facing the stubborn reality. Here are some more random ideas to help you to think more yourself. Some are practical, whilst some are just for fun. But read carefully, and you might come across a really useful tip to quit smoking.
Make a huge bonfire of cigarettes and cigarette boxes and take a pledge of quitting smoking. Do this every once in a while and soon the waste will hit the right chords.
The whole idea behind these is to make this decision of quitting smoking seem the most important of your life. Do everything you can to make it seem like one. You will probably realize of a positive change within yourself.
Come the day of quitting, start it on a happy or positive note. Keep yourself as away from stress as you can. Go on a small weekend holiday perhaps.
Every morning itself, sit down and visualize. Imagine about the day when you become a non smoker. Think about all the advantages it will leave in your way.
Plan out charts in which you may record the average cigarette intake and how many you plan to cut with each passing week. Gradually decrease the amount you smoke. Spend time on other things to keep yourself occupied.
All these are mental tricks which you can play on yourself to ease out of the deadly habit. Using products which change the metabolism of your body so that you quit smoking is not that good an idea as it makes your body dependant, again.
